Community Groups at Westlake are critical to what we do!  One mark of a fully devoted follower of Jesus is that they are connected to a group.  As we continue to grow larger on Sunday morning it’s important for us to grow smaller throughout the week.  Community groups are a place where 8-20 people come together to connect with each other, connect with God, and connect with the world through outreach.  Practically speaking there is no way our pastoral staff and board can provide the kind of care that each person deserves.  That is why we place such an emphasis on group life. 

Our church calendar is broken down into trimesters.  The month of January is a promotion month for all of our groups when sign-ups take place.  The winter/spring trimester runs February through April.  The month of May is another promotion month.  Our summer trimester runs June through August.  September is a promotion month followed by the fall trimester which runs October through mid-December.

Each fall the entire Westlake family studies the same material in all of our groups which coincides with a Sunday morning message series.  During the winter/spring and summer trimesters group leaders select studies or curriculum for the groups.  Every trimester there is a wide range of groups that meet at different times and places throughout the city.  We typically offer general mixed groups (open to anyone), men’s groups, women’s groups, and a Senior adult group each trimester.
